The schema therapy illustrations were the very first drawings I made as Kenschetser. Schema therapy has such a rich language of its own: core needs, schemas, modes. These concepts are valuable, but can feel overwhelming at first, for clients and for therapists who are learning to work with them. I created these materials to make that language a little more tangible, so you can get to work more quickly and spend less time stuck in your head trying to keep track of all the new and sometimes complex terminology.
Here you'll find posters and cards covering the core needs, schemas, and modes, in various formats. The card set contains one card per core need, schema, and mode, handy for building a mode model or case conceptualization, or for use during chair work. For those who find all the modes at once a bit much, there's the magnetic board: with it, you build your own mode model step by step, and you can give each mode a personal name. There are also flashcards and case conceptualization forms.
