I, Jente de Jong, draw all the products myself on my iPad. When something is missing in my work as a psychologist - and I can't find what I'm looking for elsewhere - I explore whether I can create it myself. The products are printed in small editions and sold through this webshop.
What does Kenschetser mean?
The name is derived from the Dutch word 'kenschetsen.' According to the Van Dale dictionary, 'kenschetsen' means: 1) to give a description of someone or something, and 2) to characterize or illustrate. The verb 'kenschetsen' is also used to mean: illustrate, distinguish, and draw. Exactly what I do!
If a product I want is marked as sold out, can I still order it?
Absolutely! The delivery time will be a bit longer as it needs to be reprinted. The delivery times vary per product (approximately one week for posters, around four weeks for card sets). You can place your order by ignoring the 'sold out' text and adding the product to your shopping cart. Feel free to send a message if you have any questions about this.
I want to place a large order for my department, how does that work?

How is sustainability taken into account?
We prioritize sustainability and the environment as much as possible. Orders are shipped in the smallest possible boxes to minimize transportation waste. Our main printing facility is ISO 14000-1 (environment) certified, and the paper and packaging materials are FSC certified (yes, even the colorful bags). The adhesive for the vibrant heart stickers is water-based. The tins are made of recyclable aluminum, the bags are Fair Trade organic cotton, and the clothing (used for promotion) is made from organic cotton and recycled PET bottles. We order products in small editions to avoid wastage.
If I place an order with multiple products with different delivery times, when will my package be shipped?
Your package will be shipped when it is entirely complete. So, for example, if you order posters and a card set, and the card set is sold out, you will receive the entire order within the card set's delivery time. If you prefer to receive something earlier, you could place two separate orders: one with the items in stock and one with items in reprint. Keep in mind that you'll be charged for shipping twice.
Can I order from a country other than the Netherlands?
Yes, you can! Currently, you can also order from Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom via the webshop. If you live and work elsewhere, send me an email, and we'll see what we can do. When ordering as a business from a country other than the Netherlands, ensure you fill in your VAT number correctly. The webshop will automatically deduct the VAT (intra-community delivery with VAT shifted).
Can I use the drawings for my department, such as in a brochure for clients or on the website?
My drawings are protected by copyright and cannot be copied or used without my written permission. If you'd like to use them and are interested in collaborating, send a message to Jente @kenschetser.nl, via the contact form, or through WhatsApp, and we can explore possibilities together.
I notice a small mistake in one of the products, can I report it to you?
Yes, please do! All products are made with great care and attention, but it's still human work. If you find a typo or another mistake, let me know, and I'll correct it for the next print.
You work as a psychologist, can I receive treatment from you?
This website is solely intended as a webshop for the illustrations I create and for information about the products. You cannot receive treatment from me through this website.
