Overview

A unique and hand-drawn card set for visual support in schema therapy treatment. This set, conveniently stored in a tin, consists of 55 cards:

  • 7 cards with core emotional needs
  • 21 schema cards
  • 7 overarching cards for each type of mode
  • 20 mode cards

These cards are valuable for creating a quick conceptualization of schema therapy and a visual representation of the mode model. Additionally, they prove useful for various experiential techniques within schema therapy. For instance, during the empty-chair technique, placing a mode card on the chair makes it clear which chair represents which mode, effectively bringing the modusmodel to life.

The additional explanations on the back of the cards make this set a handy reference for novice therapists. It is also particularly suitable for group therapy, allowing clients to explore their issues independently in small groups. The combination of illustrations and explanations empowers clients to engage more independently, reducing the need for frequent clarifications on the theoretical framework and different modes.

The cards are printed on A6 size (105mm x 148mm) on 305gsm playing card stock. Rounded corners and a thin, double-sided scratch-resistant matte laminate layer make them durable for prolonged use.

If you are interested in the posters or desktop posters, it's more cost-effective to purchase the Schema Therapy Set.
